Stan Woods reports on the veterans flying day at Barry Hills’ property on Hindmarsh island

I took Lyne Skinner, ex Spitfire pilot, to a gathering on Hindmarsh Island today. It was on Barry Hills’ property, and there were five Tiger Moths there, with three flying. It was organised through the State version of Veterans’ Affairs and had about 20 WW2 fliers there, of whom 14 were offered and accepted flights in a Moth.
Big grins from the old boys, a friendly day all round.
